Once installed, this switch features a 92 Gb/s switching capacity with a 68.5 Mfps forwarding rate measured with 64-byte packets. It also features a 16K MAC address table, support for up to 256 VLANs, 8 priority queues, and support for up to 512 multicast groups. It has a desktop and rack-mountable, fan-cooled, design for efficient and relatively quiet operation. The NETGEAR Smart Cloud Switch supports a variety of tools to help manage traffic from auto negotiation of speed to IEEE 802.3x flow control, dynamic MAC address management, and much more. To secure the network, this NETGEAR switch offers MAC lockdown by number of MACs, dynamic VLAN assignment, guest VLAN access, IPv6-based ACL, and more. Multicast efficiency features include IGMP snooping, blocking of unknown multicast traffic, and MLD snooping.
